Introduction:Â
Experience a majestic journey through ancient lands on your quest to bring a young maiden back to life by defeating sixteen gigantic beasts. On the back of your trusty horse, explore expansive landscapes and seek out each Colossus in its own place of hiding, armed with only your wits, a sword and a bow. Each one represents a unique challenge as you attempt to find its weakness and topple it.
This walkthrough contains a chronological description in which to achieve each trophy in a fast and efficient manner. There are only 4 missable trophies - missable because any progress toward them that goes uncompleted when starting a new playthrough will be lost.Â
Step 1:
When first starting a game, you will have to select Normal Mode because Hard Mode will not be available until you complete the game at least once on Normal. When playing the game for the first time you will be able to achieve all the trophies that are obtained through the main story line, as well as a few simple side tasks. You will have earned the following trophies after this step:
 Argo Circus
 Valley Wanderer
 The Sloth
 Disturbed Sleep
 Path of Gravestones
 Aerial Dance
 Entombed Giant
 Waves of Thunder
 Wall Scaler
 Slippery Ride
 Slumbering Caveman
 Unknown Tracks
 Guardian Unleashed
 Silent Thunder
 Hang Glider
 Signs in the Sky
 Shielded Guardian
 Valley of the Fallen
 Final Colossus
 Resistance (MISSABLE)
 The Forbidden
Step 2:
Once you have completed your first playthrough you will unlock what's called Normal Time Attack, which is where you have to defeat each of the colossi from the story mode in a stipulated time frame. When beginning your second playthrough with Normal Time Attack unlocked, simply save over your existing save file. This will automatically start you at the beginning of the game again, only this time you will have the additional stamina and health that you acquired on your first playthrough. However, the additional stamina and health will only apply to the main story - not the Time Attack challenges. Before moving on with the story line again, you should now work on all of the Normal Time Attack challenges. Once completed, you will have eight different and unique items to aid you in your quest (1 item per 2 stages). Once you have completed this step you will have earned the following trophy:
 Collector
Step 3:
Now that you have completed all of the Normal Time Attack challenges you can now move on with the second, third and fourth playthroughs of Normal story mode. Stop at the final stage of the fourth playthrough and DO NOT move onto the fifth. By not moving onto the fifth playthrough, you have the entire map revealed, making it much easier to locate the collectibles you need to find throughout the land. You will also have a few items that you earned during the Normal Time Attack challenges that will greatly help you locate these collectibles. During this step you will progress on and achieve the following trophies:
 Tower of Prayer (MISSABLE)
 Endangered Lizards (MISSABLE)
 Stalwart Wander
 Climber
 Cornucopia (MISSABLE)
 Mighty Wander
I highly recommend saving your game right before attempting the Climber trophy. This is because the final set of fruit that you need to eat from the secret garden for the Cornucopia trophy will permanently damage your stamina and health. Once you achieve both the Climber and Cornucopia trophies, press the PS Button and quit the game via XMB without saving. Reload your last save point and continue until you have unlocked Mighty Wander.
Step 4:
Begin a new game, only this time on Hard Mode. Because you will be creating an entirely new save file on a different difficulty, none of your collectibles, stamina, or health will carry over. Though slightly more challenging and time-consuming, you will earn the following trophy:
 Wander and the Forbidden
Step 5:
After completing the game on Hard Mode, you will unlock the Hard Time Attack challenges - which will indeed prove to be quite challenging. Once again, you will earn 8 unique items (1 per 2 stages), although these items will be different than those on Normal Time Attack. Once you have defeated each stage in the designated time and have collected each item you will earn the following trophies, including the final Platinum trophy:
 Meticulous Collector
 Wander and the Colossus
Congratulations!

Defeat 1st Colossus
This trophy is achieved by following the main story and cannot be missed. For details on where to find the first colossus and how to defeat it, check below.
How to Locate a Colossus: Once you are outside in the sunlight, equip your sword, press and hold  then use the left stick to guide your sword in the direction you must go. When your sword is pointed in the right direction, a bright beam of light will appear from your sword. The further you are away from the designated area, the more spread out the rays of the bright beam with be.
Location: The first colossus is located near the main shrine where you first begin the game. Press start to open your map. Assuming that the top of the map is North, the bottom is South, left is West, right is East, head South, straight into block F5, approximately in the middle. Here you will find what appears to be ruins from a type of structure. As you approach, a short cut scene will appear, hinting that you are close by. It is here that you will learn a basic tutorial on how to climb. Find the patch of ivy leaves/grass that have grown on the side of the right wall. Jump towards the leaves by pressing  then press  to grab a hold of them. You can then climb upwards by using the left stick. Once you reach the top of the ledge, press and release  to jump up onto the ledge. From here you will be guided through a small chain of rather simple obstacles in which to reach the first colossus.
Defeating on Normal: Now that you have found the first Colossus, you can either chase him down or shoot him with an arrow to get his attention. Either way, you need to get behind his left leg and jump onto the small patch of fur that you see. With your sword drawn, you’ll be able to notice a small area of blue light. This can be referred to a minor vital – or an area to injure or trigger an animation with the Colossus. While holding on with , you can stab him with your sword by pressing and holding , which will get you ready to stab, the longer you hold this position, the stronger the charge will be, but if you hold it too long, there’s a good chance the Colossus will make a sudden move that will knock you out of it. To get a full charge, keep an eye on your stamina bar, which is the pink circle. Once you see a white ripple appear small, then quickly grow larger and disappear, you then have a full charge. Once you are able, full charge or not, quickly release  then press it again to stab. This will injure the Colossus, causing him to bend down for a brief moment – which will give you a chance to jump up onto a higher area of his leg. From here you can work your way to a platform located at his lower back. Because your stamina is low, you need to get to this platform as quickly as possible. Once you have reached the platform you can press and hold  to maintain position and regain stamina. Once you have rejuvenated your stamina you can proceed up his back, all the way to his head. Here you will notice a much bigger blue light, which can be referred to as a main vital – an area in which the Colossus is very weak and can lead to defeating it. By the time you reach his head/neck area, you’ll probably need to regain stamina again. Try to find a flat place to rest on his shoulders by holding  to maintain position. Once you have full stamina again, proceed to his head and stab him repeatedly until he has been defeated. If you need to take an occasional break for stamina, do so on his shoulders, just don’t let go, or you will have to climb him again.
Defeating on Hard: Other than the fact that each vital will take longer to remove, the only difference with this Colossus on Hard Mode is that he will have one additional vital to remove, which is located on his right arm, just above his elbow. I recommend taking out the vital on his head first then afterwards you can climb back down his back onto the first platform you come across. From here you can jump onto his arm and take out the second vital.
Defeat 2nd Colossus
This trophy is achieved by following the main story and cannot be missed. For details on where to find the second colossus and how to defeat it, check below.
Location: The second Colossus is located in block F3, approximately in the middle. Head North from the West side of the main shrine until you see a long natural bridge stretching over a cliff. Cross the bride, and at the end merge slightly right to go downwards. There will be a short cut scene. From here, continue down the cliff until you reach the bottom, then head West until there is another cut scene, revealing the Colossus.
Defeating on Normal: You’ll need to get your bow and arrows out to begin with. When given the opportunity, shoot the bottom of his feet until you hit one, causing him to kneel down for a few seconds. Head towards and jump onto whichever leg it was you injured. Almost immediately grabbing a hold of him, he will stand back up. If you climbed from his back leg, proceed to his rear until you see a vital. Take it out. If you climbed from his front leg, you can take the vital out by his head first then head towards his rear. Either way, while climbing to the other vital, try to maintain balance and grip by holding  as often as needed.
Defeating on Hard: With the second Colossus, he will have an additional vital on his left side, closer to his head. I find that it’s best to shoot his front left leg and climb up, where you will see a very small platform to rest upon. Be careful on this platform, it’s very easy to fall off. From here you can jump directly onto the vital, or at least close to it. Take it out as quickly as possible, but if your stamina begins to run low, simply head to the right and climb on top of his rear. If you fall, simply get back on. If you were unable to take out the vital the first time you can get back to it by climbing down towards it from his front left leg.
Disturbed SleepÂ
Defeat 3rd Colossus
This trophy is achieved by following the main story and cannot be missed. For details on where to find the third colossus and how to defeat it, check below.
Location: Slightly South of the middle of E2. From the West side of the shrine, head north across the bridge. Once you reach the end merge left a bit and head slightly Northwest towards a crevice in the mountain. Head into the crevice until you come to a large lake, in which a short cut scene will appear. Swim out into the lake towards a narrow winding pathway to the large platform inside the lake. Climb the platform and once at the top, carefully jump slightly right and grab a hold of the pillar in front of you. From there jump onto the large platform, triggering the Colossus to awake.
Defeating on Normal: Stand at your starting position for a minute while shooting arrows at him as he walks towards you. Once he has gotten close enough he will start to do a stabbing attack with his weapon, but before he does, quickly run between his legs and head towards a small stone platform in the center. From here he will do a swinging attack at you, but to ensure he doesn’t hit you, quickly run away from him a bit. His weapon will hit the stone platform, causing some of the armor on his right arm to break off. Repeat this maneuver, but this time, on the dirt, which will cause his weapon to get stuck in the ground for a brief moment, giving you a chance to jump onto it and up towards his arm. If you need to take a break at his elbow, do so to restore stamina. From there work your way up the rest of his arm and onto his back, and then his head. Here you will find a vital. Destroy the vital taking stamina breaks on his back when needed. Once the vital on his head is gone, carefully climb down his back until there is no more fur, then when the timing is right you can let go and grab onto a ledge further down to his lower back. Once on this ledge, walk around on the other side where his stomach is. There is where his final vital is located.
Defeating on Hard: This Colossus will have an additional vital on his left arm above his elbow. Before dropping down onto the platform around his back and stomach, you can climb onto the vital on his arm by climbing down his left arm. You will more than likely need to take a rest before finishing the vital, so climb back up onto his shoulders to regain your stamina.
Path of GravestonesÂ
Defeat 4th Colossus
This trophy is achieved by following the main story and cannot be missed. For details on where to find the fourth colossus and how to defeat it, check below.
Location: Northeast corner of G5. From the main shrine head East where you will soon see two pathways, one further North, the other further South, take the one further South, which is surrounded by two mountains. Follow the path until you find a secluded area of what appears to be a field of green grass. Follow the narrow path on the side of the mountain until you reach the bottom, then head straight through the field, passing four bunker-like structures, until you reach the Colossus.
Defeating on Normal: Run towards the four bunker-like structures in the middle of the field. With the Colossus chasing you, it’s best to run straight for the one farthest away from you. Once you get to it, simply stand on top of it and wait for the Colossus to reach you. As soon as it appears that the Colossus will try to strike you, jump down and go inside of the bunker. From here you can go whichever way you’d like, but to keep it simple, take a right, and then another right. Once you’re outside of the bunker try to position yourself so you cannot be seen by the Colossus, but move the camera around so you can see by him. Eventually he will do a maneuver in which he bends down over the hill to try to find you inside the bunker entrance. When he does this you have an opportunity to run up from behind him and jump onto his “tail.†From here you can climb up his entire back, up to his neck – where you will find a minor vital. Stab at this vital to get him to bend his head down – if he doesn’t – stab again. With no more than two stabs the Colossus will bend his head down, giving you a chance to get onto it, which is where you will find the main vital.
Defeating on Hard: This Colossus will have two additional vitals, each one on each of his shoulders. Either before or after getting onto his head, you can take them out by carefully climbing down onto each of his shoulders, and then climbing back up.Â
Aerial DanceÂ
Defeat 5th Colossus
This trophy is achieved by following the main story and cannot be missed. For details on where to find the fifth colossus and how to defeat it, check below.
Location: Center of H4. From the main shrine, head East where you will find a pathway heading straight forward. The pathway is hugging a mountainside on its right, and on its left is a cliff where you will see waterfalls below. Continue following this path and hugging the mountain until you reach a small entrance between two mountains. Inside you will find a large lake and a lot of ruins – triggering a small cut scene. Jump inside the lake and swim underneath the obstacle in your way. Climb up the tower in front of you and once up top, walk to the very end of it, which is where you will see another cut scene. From here, simply jump into the water.
Defeating on Normal: Once inside the water, swim slightly right towards three small, square-shaped platforms neatly lined up inside the water. Climb on top of the platform that is in the middle of the three. From here, equip your bow and shoot the Colossus, who is perched on a structure just ahead of you. Shooting him will cause him to almost immediately fly towards you, and at just the right moment, jump towards him, where there will be a patch of fur. If you miss, or fall off of the Colossus, simply swim back to that location and shoot him again, only this time you will have to shoot him while he is flying through the air. Once on the Colossus, wait for him to stop flapping his wings which will give you a chance to run across his left wing to the tip, where you will find a vital. To get back to his head, simply wait for him to flatten his wing again. Once at his head, head down his back to his tail. At the very tip you will find another vital to take out. From here head back up towards his head and focus on getting to his right wing. Again, wait until he has flattened his wing so you can safely get to the last vital on the tip of his other wing.
Defeating on Hard: This Colossus does not have any additional vitals, it will only take longer to take out each vital that he already has.
Â
Location: Slightly West of the middle of D6. From the main shrine, head Southwest until you find the entrance to a small forest. Once inside, head straight until you reach a barrier, then go right where you will see a pathway leading outside of the forest. The pathway will lead you over a small bridge and a tunnel, but once outside you will find a large, open area. From this point simply head Southwest towards a large mountain in your path. In an area on the mountain you will find structural ruins in which to go inside. Follow the path inside until you reach a large room, where you will see a short cut scene. From this high-point, you can either jump down, or – to avoid damage – simply grab a hold of the wall before you and climb down. You can also grab a hold of the wall and let go, then grab a hold of it again before reaching the bottom. At this point you will see another cut scene.
Defeating on Normal: Run away from the Colossus towards a small wall. At certain areas of the wall you can climb on top and then over it. Continue heading in the direction away from the Colossus, climbing over each wall as you approach it. Once at the end of the room, hide underneath the large structure here will pillars supporting it. Wait here until the Colossus investigates. If the Colossus seems lost, simply shoot him with your arrows to get his attention. Once the Colossus is nearby, hide behind one of the pillars until the Colossus bends down to find you. With his body close to the ground, you can quickly run out from your hiding spot and jump onto his beard, which you can climb up and get onto his shoulders from. From his shoulders you will find a vital on his head. Once that it has been removed, head back to his shoulders and carefully climb down the left side of his back, where you will find the other vital. You may need to take a break on his shoulders to rejuvenate stamina only after a couple of hits, but it will prevent you from having to climb back onto him.
Defeating on Hard: This Colossus will have one additional vital, which is located on the top of his left hand. Before or after jumping on his beard and taking out the vitals on his head and lower back, you can get onto his hand by repeating the same maneuver that it takes to get onto his beard. Once you are close to his hand he will press it down closer to the ground, giving you a chance to jump onto it. As quickly as possibly, stab the vital with as much force as you can before he disturbs your position. I recommend that after one stab, you simply let go and repeat the process. Though it is possible to repeatedly stab his hand, I find it easier to just climb on top of his hand again each time until the vital is gone.Â
Waves of ThunderÂ
Defeat 7th Colossus
This trophy is achieved by following the main story and cannot be missed. For details on where to find the seventh colossus and how to defeat it, check below.
Location: Middle of block D1. Head North from the West side of the main shrine. Cross the bridge and continue North until you reach block F1, where you will be able to turn left heading West. From here go straight until you come across some structural ruins. Enter the ruins and follow the path, noticing the large lake below you. At this point you should see a small cut scene, and once over, you can simply jump into the water. Here, another cut scene.
Defeating on Normal: Look around in the water until you see the Colossus. You can either swim towards him or wait until he finds you, either way, he will make a loud moan indicating that he has seen you and is about to attack you. At this point, hold still and wait for him to surface, but avoid being shocked by his three different horns, once they have passed, grab onto the lower portion of his body when it is close to surfacing. Hold onto his body until the area you are on surfaces the water – only then can you move forward. Whenever the area you are at is about to go back under water, simply hold on and wait for that area to resurface again. Make your way to each horn, where you will find a minor vital. To avoid being shocked, make sure you are at a safe enough distance when the horn submerges into the water. Once it resurfaces, quickly run to the minor vital and take it out with one powerful stab. This will make it so the horn will no longer be able to shock you. Repeat this until you have removed all three minor vitals then make your way to his head, where you will find his main vital. You will only be able to stab the vital whenever his head is out of the water, so be quick in doing so. If at any point while defeating this Colossus should he start to swim deep under water, you might as well just let go. It will be a while yet until he resurfaces, so you will not have enough stamina to remain holding on.
Defeating on Hard: This Colossus does not have any additional vitals, it will only take longer to take out the one he has. However, it will not take any additional effort to take out his minor vitals.
Slippery RideÂ
Hang onto the fish for over 30 seconds
To achieve this trophy you must hang onto a fish for over 30 seconds. Although there are several parts in the world to do this at, I recommend doing it at the pond before reaching the 8th Colossus. You will have enough stamina at this point in the game, though I am unsure how much stamina you actually need. Once you are in the pond try to find a fish as close to you as possible. Once you have found one, quickly hold  to grab a hold of it. You can either use a timer or count the seconds yourself, but try to hold on as long as possible. If the fish gets too close to the bottom of the pond, you may fall off, but just try again. If you don’t seem to have any luck achieving this trophy at the pond I’ve suggested, you can also try the pond indicated in the video below, otherwise, you can find specific details in the below section for the location of the pond I’ve suggested.
Location: Slightly East of the middle of block G6. From the main shrine, head Northeast towards a small gap between two mountains. Follow this path until you see it split into two directions – left and right. Take the left path and go straight until you see a small hole in the mountain in front of you. Enter the hole where you will find a cave. Follow the very narrow path inside the cave until you find yourself in a much more open area with a large pond.
Â

Swim across the pond towards a structure that appears intact. Once inside, follow the path, jumping over and climbing obstacles when needed, until you see a cut scene.
Defeating on Normal: You may notice that there are several staircases inside this structure in which to descend upon. I recommend going down at least one level before beginning, but you can do this on any level, whichever you find easiest. From any level you will see several damaged areas in which to look into the center of the structure from. While doing so, shoot an arrow at the Colossus below to get his attention. Be careful to avoid the smoke that he spits at you. After getting his attention quickly run away from that area to avoid being injured should he spit any smoke at you. From either another damaged area of the structure, or even one of the gated windows, shoot some arrows at two of his legs while he is climbing the wall up towards you. Once you have successfully made him lose his grip, he will fall on his back on the ground. Quickly jump down which will injure you, or if you are at a gated window, press  and  to do a roll underneath the gated area and as you start to fall you can grab onto the wall to avoid damage. Once you have reached the bottom, quickly jump onto the Colossus, which I find is easiest to do at his tail. On his body you will find two vitals, one closer to his tail, the other closer to his head. Quickly stab one of the vitals as many times as possibly, and when the Colossus is about to roll back over onto his legs, quickly jump off of him and run towards one of the entrances that will lead you to the stairs. From here you can choose whichever level you’d like to repeat the process again.
Defeating on Hard: This Colossus does not have any additional vitals, it will only take longer to remove each one.
Slumbering CavemanÂ
Defeat 9th Colossus
This trophy is achieved by following the main story and cannot be missed. For details on where to find the ninth colossus and how to defeat it, check below.
Location: Approximately in the middle of block D3. From the main shrine, head Northwest to a bridge similar to the one heading South. Cross the bridge and continue heading Northwest. Once you start to approach the appropriate area, you will begin to see a very dark clouded area. Continue heading in that direction, until you see a small pit between another large area of land. To cross the pit, look for a small bridge. Once you have crossed the pit head towards a large, dark cave, in which you will find the Colossus.
Defeating on Normal: You will need to be riding Agro to help you defeat this Colossus. As soon as you are able, run away from the Colossus while trying to avoid being hit by the shock bursts that he shoots at you. Try to lure him towards one of the geysers in the immediate area. Once the Colossus is directly on top of one of them, try to maintain his position until water shoots from the geyser – causing him to be lifted into the air from the force of the water. At this point you need to shoot both of his only two feet supporting him with your arrows. Try to be as quick as possible – the water will go back down after a while. Once you have shot his feet he will be completely flipped over onto his other side. Quickly run around to the other side of him and begin to climb his stomach. Once you have reached the top, hold on until he gets back up, then climb the last platform. From here you can climb up to his rear and then towards his head. Be careful when walking on this particular Colossus – he does not have any fur other than what’s on his head, so to avoid falling off, hold  to crouch when he begins to shake. Once you have reached his head take out the vital that is located here.
Defeating on Hard: This Colossus does not have any additional vitals, it will only take longer to remove the one he has.
Unknown TracksÂ
Defeat 10th Colossus
This trophy is achieved by following the main story and cannot be missed. For details on where to find the tenth colossus and how to defeat it, check below.
Location: Found in the middle of Block B4. From the main shrine, head Northwest across the bridge to the West. Once Across, continue heading West until you reach the area where block C3 and C4 meet, from here you will see a large entrance between two mountains in which to enter, once inside head left until you see the entrance to a cave. Enter the cave until you find yourself in a large, secluded room with sand. Once approximately in the middle, you will see a cut scene.
Defeating on Normal: You will need to be riding Agro to help you defeat this Colossus. Ride around the cave to get the Colossus to follow you. Once he is close enough to you, you will be able to turn around while riding Agro and shoot him in the eye with your arrows. Try to make sure that there are no immediately obstacles in the way of Agro that way she can continue riding smoothly while you are no longer in control of her. Once you have shot the Colossus in the eye, he will eventually run directly into a wall and be stuck in that position for several seconds. Quickly ride over and jump onto him, climbing his body until you see his first vital. You should have enough time to take out this vital before he goes back into the sand. Once he has, simply repeat the process. Once you are climbing him again, you will find the second vital further up his body, closer to his head.
Defeating on Hard: This Colossus does not have any additional vitals, it will only take longer to remove the two that he already has.
Guardian UnleashedÂ
Defeat 11th Colossus
This trophy is achieved by following the main story and cannot be missed. For details on where to find the eleventh colossus and how to defeat it, check below.
Location: Slightly East of block F1. Head North from the West side of the shrine. Cross the bridge and continue to head North, eventually crossing underneath to the other side of the large bridge that leads to the main shrine. Continue heading North until you come across a large pit in the ground. There will be a winding path that leads you to the bottom, or – if you’re careful – you can jump down into the water. Swim to the other side of the pond, where you will find a pathway slightly to the right. Follow the path until you find yourself in a room with a platform and several pillars of fire. Jump over the platform, where you will see a cut scene.
Defeating on Normal: Quickly run towards and hide in between one of the pillars of fire. If at any time the Colossus should knock you over, repeatedly tap  to get back up quickly and run to safety. Once you are safe beside a pillar, climb on top of it and remain there until the Colossus rams into the pillar – which will cause a torch to fall out of the pit of fire. Quickly climb down and grab the torch with , while being careful to avoid the Colossus. Once you have the torch, climb back up one of the pillars, and once on top, press  again to light the torch on fire. Once lit, quickly jump down and begin to swing the torch at the Colossus with. He will begin to walk backwards, avoiding the fire in front of him. Try to guide him towards the cliff – opposite of where the Colossus first jumped out from. If your fire goes out, quickly jump back up onto one of the pillars and relight it. Once you get the Colossus close enough to the edge, he will fall off, causing his armor to break. You can now equip your sword (which will drop the torch) and jump down after him. If you line up your jump just right, you will land right on top of him and you can then begin to stab at his vital. If you’re able to do it quickly enough, you can defeat him right then and there, if not, remain holding onto him as he works his way back up to the area you were at with the fire. From here you get back onto the pillars and jump onto his back, repeating until he is defeated.
Defeating on Hard: This Colossus does not have any additional vitals, it will only take longer to remove the one he has.
Defeat 12th Colossus
This trophy is achieved by following the main story and cannot be missed. For details on where to find the twelfth colossus and how to defeat it, check below.
Location: Found in the middle of block G2. From the main shrine, head Northeast towards two tall pillars that mark a bridge. Cross the bridge and head North towards another set of two pillars that mark another bridge. Cross the bridge and enter the forest. Inside the forest, immediately turn right, where you will see an exit. Follow the path here until you come to a dead end. Jump onto and grab the pillar in your way and climb around it until you can let go safely onto the path. Follow the path until it is no longer, then jump into the water. Swim past the large pillars in the water that are supporting the bridge above, and continue until you reach a small round platform that is closest to you. Once on top of this platform, a cut scene will appear, revealing the Colossus.
Defeating on Normal: Quickly jump into the water and begin to swim towards the Colossus. You will need to swim underwater by pressing  because it helps you swim faster. Swim between his body and his arm, circling him until you reach his back. Here you will be able to jump onto him because his entire back in covered in fur. Climb up his back until you have reached his head where you’ll notice that he has several white structures atop of it. Call them what you will – but I’ve always thought they look like teeth. Take note that there is a set of these “teeth†to the left, right, and the front. When striking each set with your sword by pressing , the Colossus will move in the direction that you command. If you hit the left set he will move to the left, if you hit the right set he will move to the right, and so on. Locate one of several round, two-storey platforms in the water and begin to direct the Colossus towards it. Once you are close enough to the platform, jump onto the second storey and quickly hide behind the small pillar in the center to avoid being hit from his electrical blasts that he shoots at you. Once he has finished his attack, peak out and quickly shoot him with an arrow – anywhere. This will trigger him to jump up onto the platform with his two front legs, revealing his only vital on his stomach. Quickly jump off the platform and onto the vital, stabbing it as quickly as possible before he submerges himself into water again. Once he has, simply repeat the process, only this time you’ll have to use a different platform, because he would have destroyed the one you were just one.
Defeating on Hard: This Colossus does not have any additional vitals, it will only take longer to remove the one he has.
Hang GliderÂ
Hang onto the hawk for over 30 seconds
To achieve this trophy you must hang onto a hawk for over 30 seconds. Although there are several parts in the world to do this at, I recommend doing it at the cliff side right before you reach the 13th Colossus. You will have enough stamina at this point in the game, though I am unsure how much stamina you actually need. Once you are at the cliff, find the small shrine nearby and try to find an area in which you see a hawk passing by the edge of the cliff. Position yourself in an area that you believe a hawk will pass, and at the right moment jump up towards it and press  to remain holding onto it. If the hawk gets too close to the ground or even the side of the cliff, you’ll fall off, so just keep trying. You can either use a timer or count the seconds yourself, but try to hold on as long as possible.
For the specific details on how to reach this cliff, check below.
Location: Found at the cliff that is centered in block D5. From the main shrine, Southwest towards the entrance to a forest. Enter the forest and continue straight until you reach the end them immediately turn right where you’ll find the exit and a small bridge and tunnel leading to a wide open area. From here continuing heading Southwest until you reach a small shrine, with the cliff right next to it.
Signs in the SkyÂ
Defeat 13th Colossus
This trophy is achieved by following the main story and cannot be missed. For details on where to find the thirteenth colossus and how to defeat it, check below.
Location: Slightly West of the middle of block E6. From the main shrine, head Southwest towards the entrance to a forest. Enter the forest and continue straight until you reach the end then immediately turn right where you’ll find the exit and a small bridge and tunnel leading to a wide open area. From here begin to head Southeast until you come across a large, sandy area with a small structural ruin in your path. Head towards the ruins and once there, you will see a cut scene.
Defeating on Normal: You will need to be riding Agro to help you defeat this Colossus. Get out your bow and start shooting at the three different bubble-like areas on his body. With each bubble that you shoot the Colossus will descend closer to the ground. After all the bubbles have been shot, ride alongside the Colossus, next to his wings. At the right moment, jump from Agro by pressing  and grab onto the wing. Climb up as high as you can until the Colossus ascends back up into the air and raises his wings so they are straight. At this point you can jump from his wing and onto his body. From here begin to head towards his rear, away from his head. You’ll quickly come across his first of three vitals, so remove it as soon as possible. Once it’s gone, continue making your way to its rear until you get to the second vital. Take it out as quickly as possible, but at this point, the Colossus may submerge itself back into the sand. When this is about to happen, the Colossus will close a flap over each vital, protecting it so you can no longer stab at it. You can either continue holding onto the Colossus until he’s submerged, or you can jump off of him, though you will be injured. After a few moments the Colossus will come back out of the sand, which is where you can repeat the process of getting him closer to the ground so you can get back onto his body. Once back on, head towards his rear, to whichever vitals you missed.
Defeating on Hard: This Colossus does not have any additional vitals, it will only take longer to remove the three he already has.
Defeat 14th Colossus
This trophy is achieved by following the main story and cannot be missed. For details on where to find the fourteenth colossus and how to defeat it, check below.
Location: Found in the middle of block C2. From the main shrine, head Northwest to the bridge leading West. Cross the bridge and head Northwest again towards a gap in between two mountains, where you’ll also see a small shine. Enter the gap and hug the left mountain until you reach the edge of block D2. From here, make a left and follow the path, eventually leading to the left, which will be surrounded by several small pillars. Continue following the path until you reach a small cave with a pond. Swim across the pond until you reach another path yet to follow. Once you reach the end of the path you’ll find yourself in a very large area that appears to be a ruined city. Jump down the platform you’re on and head straight into a small opening that leads you down a trench. Almost immediately to your left will be a pillar that has fallen over on its side. Climb the pillar, then into another trench, and once you reach the end will be a cut scene revealing the Colossus.
Defeating on Normal: Immediately jump onto the fallen pillar that is next to you on your left, then onto the platform that is slightly higher up. From there you will see a wall which you can also jump onto. Follow the wall until it ends and then jump to another wall slightly below the one you’re on. Follow this wall until you reach a pillar, jumping onto it and climbing to the top. Once on top, or even while climbing, take note of the Colossus ramming into the pillar. Once he has done this get on top of the pillar and shoot the Colossus with an arrow. This will irritate him, causing him to ram into the pillar again, knocking it over. The pillar will fall over in the appropriate area that you must go to next, so in this case, it will fall in the direction you were heading when you first jumped onto it. Position yourself on the appropriate side so that when the pillar falls to the ground, you will not be uninjured. Once it has landed, jump to the platform in front of you, then over a small gap onto another platform. From here will be another wall to jump onto, and then one more platform. After this will be four pillars in which you will need to work your way across, each falling in a different direction. After the Colossus has rammed into the pillar once and you have shot him with an arrow, make sure you drop down onto the appropriate side to avoid being injured. Once you have passed each pillar, there will be a platform you must jump onto then a tall, thick structure. Jump onto the side of this structure and slide to either the right or left, turning the corning. Continue sliding to the right/left until you come to the next corner, where you can now climb up onto a flat surface. Once you have reached this surface, locate another pillar close by which you must jump onto. Get the Colossus to ram into the pillar twice, making it fall onto the wall beside it, destroying it. From here, quickly run straight towards a section of the wall that can be climbed up. From here climb the steps and circle around towards two small structures to climb upon. Locate the colossus from here and shoot him with an arrow, which will trigger him to ram into a pillar supporting your platform, causing it to fall and land on the Colossus, breaking his armor. Quickly jump onto his back and remove his vital as quickly as possible. If you are unable to do so before he gets up and starts shaking, quickly jump off and get on top of the pillar that had destroyed the wall in that area. Wait for him to ram into the pillar, which will knock him out for a few seconds, giving you a chance to get on his back again. Repeat this process until the vital is gone.
Defeating on Hard: This Colossus does not have any additional vitals, it will only take longer to remove the one he has.
Valley of the FallenÂ
Defeat 15th Colossus
This trophy is achieved by following the main story and cannot be missed. For details on where to find the fifteenth colossus and how to defeat it, check below.
Location: At the edge of block G1, where it is met with H1. From the West side of the main shrine, head North across the bridge. Continue North while crossing under the bridge that leads to the shrine. Once you have reached block F1, head East until you reach a large structure with the entrance slightly hidden by a large boulder. Go inside and work your way to a large area with several large pillars surrounding the entrance. Walk to the other side of this area towards a large pit, which will trigger a cut scene.
Defeating on Normal: Head towards either the left or right wall in the area. Find an area on the wall that looks like you could barely jump up onto, but are unable. Stand in this location and wait for the Colossus to approach you. He will then step on the platform that you’re on, which will cause it to lift up just enough that you can reach the ledge above. From here, climb the steps and stand beside the pillars. Start to shoot at the Colossus until he swings at you with his weapon, causing him to destroy the structure, which will give you several blocks to climb onto. From here you can climb up the pillar and onto the platform above. Either heading left or right, you will eventually come across a set of stars. Climb the stairs that will then lead you to a large bridge crossing to the other side. While on the bridge start to shoot arrows at the Colossus until he’s about to swing at you. To avoid falling from the bridge, quickly run to the end and remain there until the bridge has broken. Afterwards, quickly run towards the Colossus and jump onto his head. If he does not appear to be close enough, shoot him with some arrows until you get his attention. Once on top of the Colossus, you can take out the vital on his head. Quickly take a break to regain stamina and then work your way down his right arm. Just before his elbow you’ll see a minor vital in which to stab. Once you have done so the Colossus will drop his weapon, revealing his second vital. Just let go off the Colossus and fall to the ground. You should only be slightly injured. From here you can get his attention while standing in front of him, try to distance yourself far enough that he’ll try to hit you with his hand. If you’re too close he’ll only stomp at you with his feet. Once he hits at you with his hand, move to the side to avoid being injured, then quickly run towards and grab his hand. In the palm of his hand you'll see his last vital.
Defeating on Hard: This Colossus has one additional vital, which is located on his upper left chest. Once you have gotten on top of his head and shoulders, climb down towards it. You may need to take several breaks while stabbing, so just climb back up to his shoulders to regain stamina.
Defeat 16th Colossus
This trophy is achieved by following the main story and cannot be missed. For details on where to find the sixteenth colossus and how to defeat it, check below.
Location: Found at the center of block F8. From the main shrine, head Southeast towards a small gap between two mountains. Follow the path until the path splits left and right. Take the path right and continuing South. While avoiding numerous cliffs and rocks, you will eventually come to a large door in the mountain ahead. Stand on the round, stone platform and raise your sword with  while directing the light beam into the circle on the door, which will cause it to open. From here you simply follow the path up the stairs and towards the bridge. However, you must be on Agro to cross this bridge, if you aren’t, the bridge will collapse and you will fall with it. After you have crossed the bridge, begin to climb the wall, following each obstacle as you come to it. Eventually you’ll be led inside a small tunnel with stairs and then eventually back outside where you will have to climb a pillar. Once here, a cut scene will appear, revealing the final Colossus.
Defeating on Normal: Head up the ramp and to the right you will see a fallen pillar to use as protection. At this point the Colossus will start to shoot electrical blasts at you, so it’s important to remain protected. Jump into the tunnel beside you and begin to follow its path. Eventually you’ll come across several blocks which you must jump onto to reach the platform above. Once up top, you’ll see a barrier that you can hide behind for protection. From there, to your right, are three more barriers that you must make your way to. As soon as the Colossus has fired a blast at you, it’s safe to move forward. At the last barrier, after the Colossus has fired his blast, run towards and jump into another tunnel. Follow the tunnel until you find yourself outside again. Turn to your left where you will see a round ledge to walk around, but once you reach the area of the platform that is damaged, you will need to jump up and grab a hold of the ledge above you. From here you can jump to the ledge on the other side, and then through the entrance to the tunnel. Once you reach the end of the tunnel, climb the wall and make a right where you will need to climb the ruined stairs. Once up top you will find another barrier. After the Colossus has fired an attack, make your way to the second. However, because these barries are further apart, you will need to do a roll by pressing  and then :triangle. Once you are at the last barrier and the Colossus has fired his attack, quickly jump into the final tunnel. Once you reach the end you will be at the feet of the Colossus, and from here you can begin to climb him. There are several directions you can take while climbing him, but you want to get to his lower back. Once you have, you’ll see a minor vital. Stab the vital, which will cause the Colossus to bring his hand down and place on the wound, giving you a chance to grab a hold his palm. Once on his hand, he will bring it back up towards his front. Try to climb on top of his hand, and once you have, stab it quickly with your sword, which will make him hold still for a moment. From here, run up his arm, past his elbow, where you will see another minor vital. Stab it with your sword which will cause him to bring his other hand over and place it on the wound. Again, this will give you another chance to jump onto his palm. Get onto the top of his hand again and then quickly stab him, making him hold still again. Quickly equip your bow and aim it at his left shoulder, where you will see yet another vital. Shoot at the vital then quickly grab a hold of his hand again. Once he has placed his hand at his shoulder quickly climb onto it. From here you can climb onto the platform behind his neck and then onto his head, which is where you will find his only main vital. If you can’t seem to stab him at all or if you stamina has run out, run back onto his left shoulder and stab it with your sword, which will cause him to hold still for a few seconds, giving you a perfect opportunity to remove his vital. Repeat this until he has been defeated.
Defeating on Hard: This Colossus does not have any additional vitals, it will only take longer to remove the one he has.
ResistanceÂ
Endure being sucked into the light for over 1 minute in the ending
(MISSABLE) To achieve this trophy you must endure being sucked into the light for over a minute during the final scenes. Immediately after you are in control and are being sucked into the light towards the small pond in the main shrine, you can either continue to vigorously press  and jump away from the light - which can be quite challenging – or you can wait until you reach the steps leading to the pond and grab onto them by pressing . Either way, you will not see the trophy pop up until AFTER you have finally been sucked in, so it is important to either time yourself, or carefully count the seconds. If you are unable to achieve this trophy, you will have to wait until the next playthrough before attempting it again.
The ForbiddenÂ
Clear the game in normal difficulty
To achieve this trophy you must complete the entire game on Normal Mode. After the final Colossus has been defeated, there will be several scenes to watch, including the one in which you just achieved Resistance . Once you have made it through the final scenes and the end credits, you will earn the trophy.
CollectorÂ
Acquire all items available in normal time attack
To achieve this trophy you must first complete the game on Normal Mode, which will unlock the Normal Time Attack challenges. Once these challenges have been unlocked, you can attempt to defeat each Colossus in a certain amount of time. For every two Colossi that you defeat, you will earn one special item – no matter what order you defeat them in. For videos on how to defeat each Colossus in Normal Time Attack, check the video below.
Normal Time Attack Items:
Whistling Arrow – While equipped, these arrows make a whistling sound to attract the attention of a Colossus.
Cloak of Force – While wearing this cloak, you give more damage when attacking with your sword.
Mask of Strength – While wearing this mask, you give more damage when attacking with your sword.
Lizard Detection Stone – While equipped, this map gives the location of a nearby white-tailed lizard.
Fruit Tree Map – While equipped, this map gives you a location of all the fruits in the world, except the Forbidden Fruit.
Mask of Power – While wearing this mask, you give more damage when attacking with your sword. This mask is more powerful than Mask of Strength.
Cloak of Deception – While wearing this cloak, you will no longer be seen by any Colossi.
Flash Arrow – While equipped, these arrows make an explosion once they have hit their target.
Once all of the Normal Time Attack challenges have been completed, you can also change the color of Agro from black to brown. From the title screen, hold  for a few seconds, then load your game.
Save at all save points
(MISSABLE) To achieve this trophy you must pray at every save point (shrine) in the game. There are 25 shrines altogether. If you have been following my Roadmap, you should be on your fourth playthrough, just before defeating the final Colossus. This is where I recommend that you work on this trophy, along with Endangered Lizards, and Cornucopia. Because your entire map is revealed, it will make it much easier to find each location of all the shrines, fruits, and lizards throughout the world. I also recommend that you complete all the Normal Time Attack challenges before working on these trophies. That way you will have the Fruit Tree Map, Lizard Detection Stone, and the Flash arrows to help you – they make a huge difference. By following the link below, you will be able to find each save shrine throughout the world. Please be sure to mark each one carefully as you go.
Killed all shining lizards
(MISSABLE) To achieve this trophy you must kill every white-tailed lizard in the world. Please note that the trophy specifically says to “kill†each one, and not just eat the tail. That is why I recommend waiting until you have completed all of the Normal Time Attack challenges before attempting this trophy – not only will you have the lizard detection stone to help you find them, but you will also have the flash arrows, which will cause an explosion on impact, easily killing the lizards. When killing each lizard, be sure to find and eat its white tail because it slowly increases your stamina which will help you to achieve Mighty Wander. By following the link below, you will be able to find each white-tailed lizard throughout the world. There are 77 white-tailed lizards altogether. Please be sure to mark each one carefully as you go.Â
Whenever there is a number next to a lizard, this indicates that there is more than just one in that location. This will only be the case at specific save shrines that are marked on the map. After killing the first lizard, leave the immediate area and return to kill the second, and then the third, if needed. When each lizard(s) has been killed, they will be removed from your in-game map, assuming you have the Lizard Detection Stone.
Stalwart WandererÂ
Max out HP bar
To achieve this trophy you must max out your heath bar. Your health bar will increase each time you defeat a Colossus and whenever you eat the fruit throughout the world, not including the Forbidden Fruit. If you have followed my Roadmap, you should be on your fourth playthrough. If you have not earned this trophy by now then you need to collect all the fruits in the world. See Cornucopia.
ClimberÂ
Reached the top of the shrine
NOTE: Before attempting this trophy make sure to save your progress up until this point.
To achieve this trophy you must climb to the top of the main shrine. To do this you do not need full stamina, but it will need to be nearly full. If you have followed my Roadmap, you should be on your fourth playthrough and already eaten all of the white-tailed lizards throughout the world. Watch the video below to see exactly how to reach the top of the shrine.
Acquired all fruits in the world
(MISSABLE)Â To achieve this trophy you must find and eat every piece of fruit in the world, including the Forbidden Fruit. Having completed all of the Normal Time Attack challenges and obtaining the Fruit Tree Map, it is much easier to locate them on your map. There are 128 pieces of fruit located throughout the world, not including the Forbidden Fruit. By following the map in the link below, you will be able to find each location of all the fruit trees in the world. Please be sure to mark each one carefully as you go.Â
Each tree has a varied amount of fruit on it, so look carefully. After every piece of fruit has been shot down and eaten from one tree, it will be removed from your in-game map, assuming you have the Fruit Tree Map. If you shot a piece of fruit down but cannot seem to find it on the ground, simply leave the immediate area and come back, where you will find that piece of fruit back on the tree. There is no in-game map of the location of the Forbidden Fruit, but they are located at the top of the main shrine. Once you have eaten all of the lizards and have played through the game at least four times, you will have enough stamina to reach the top. However, it is very important that you save your game before eating any of the Forbidden Fruit because it will permanently damage your health and stamina bar. There are 48 pieces of Forbidden Fruit altogether. Please count them carefully. Although it will take more time, I recommend only shooting one piece of fruit down at a time, then finding it and eating it.
NOTE: After unlocking this trophy, press  and quit the game via the XMB. Restart the game, and load the last save you made right before attempting Climber, then pursue trophy below.
Mighty WanderÂ
Maxed out stamina bar
To achieve this trophy you must max out your stamina bar, which takes much longer to max out than your health bar. Your stamina bar increases each time you defeat a Colossus and whenever you eat a white-tailed lizard, however, it will increase much faster by defeating a Colossus. If you have followed my Roadmap, you should be at the end of your fourth playthrough and have eaten all of the 77 white-tailed lizards. This trophy will pop once you have defeated the final Colossus, thus confirming that you need to have eaten exactly 77 white-tailed lizards and defeated 64 Colossi to max out your stamina bar. If your trophy does not unlock when you kill the last Colossus, it may be because you inadvertently missed eating a few white lizard tails, even though you would have killed them all. Just start a new game and continue defeating each Colossus until the trophy pops.
Clear the game in hard difficulty
To achieve this trophy you must complete the entire game on Hard Mode. After the final Colossus has been defeated, there will be several scenes to watch. Once you have made it through the final scenes and the end credits, you will earn the trophy.
